December 30th
The decision was made after considering our loved ones. The most important thing to us was keeping good relationships with the people that we cared about. We wanted for our wedding to be a welcome and happy event.
On December 30th, 2013 we got up at 7am in preparation to be married at 9:30am.
Most of our pictures we either took of each other, or we setup the camera on a timer to take them.
We were married at the Marshall TX courthouse by the Justice of the Piece, Nancy.

Wedding Perils
Speaking of professional photography going wrong... I just love oopsy moments.
This photo comes all the way from Ireland and it looks like he is preparing to slug her! He even braced his foot on the tree for extra force.

Hehehe.... Now he doesn't have to do the wedding, he can just drag her to a cave.....

Dear Wedding Day
Dear wedding day,
I ask you to be please go well and be there for me.
I understand that I haven’t been the best friend of late. I've
been indecisive, noncommittal, demanding, and opinionated. And I know that I threatened
to call you off a couple times (the wedding, not the marriage!).
I know that all relationships are a give and take, it’s just
that sometimes you want to take too much.
So here is my wish for us.
In place of worry we will have peace
In place of chaos we will have ease
No planning malfunctions, nor excessive expenses
No fighting for over nor under as surely is senseless
I will remember to schedule you with care
If you promise that you will be reasonable and fair
We will have elegant pictures that will please the eye
And our guests will leave happy and glad they came by
As partners together we can go any distance
I thank you in earnest for your willing assistance
Sincerely,
The Bride

Sequoia Mansion, Placerville CA
Venues, places, locations, sites, scenes, settings, spots, areas; where, where, where?
An excellent question that every bride should be able to answer. But sadly, I don't have an answer yet.
Finding a venue has become my nemesis. It is the antithesis to my thesis, the antagonist to my protagonist. I have become a venue pariah, always lingering on the edges of committing to one over the other, but constantly slinking between the cracks of decision.
So, here is a venue that has floated to the top of my current possibilities, seemingly unsinkable due to its amazing prices and looks. And they treated me like royalty even though I know my budget is comparably low.
The Sequoia Mansion, Placer CA: http://www.sequoiaplacerville.com/ .
This place was the best priced of the places I looked at and the most beautiful. The package included:
-Plated entree
-Place settings
-Beverage station with Hot Coffee and Tea
-Champagne & Cider Toast with personalized glasses
-Invitations & Response cards
-Table linens and choice of color napkins
-DJ/MC services
-Wedgewood ceremony site
-1 hour all you can drink bar, and 'no host' after that
-No hidden costs, no security charge, no cleanup charge
-The whole place included, upstairs, downstairs, backyard, everything.

Bonus graveyard across the street. What bride could want more? I'm serious.
They provided us with free samples of the champagne and the red and white wine.

Stomping Around
Been stomping around look for a wedding dress. David's Bridal, Alfred Angelo Bridal, my sister's prior dress, my sister-in-law's prior dress, my co-workers prior dress - and I still haven't found one.
Ironic, because my Matron of Honor (MOH), Mother of the Bride (MOB) and Flower Girl (FG) have all bought their dresses.
This dress I wore above is *almost* perfect. And I do like my cowboy boots with it.
Sshhhh, the rest is a surprise.
My city or mountains
Stay with me stay
I need you to love me
I need you today
Give to me your leather
Take from me
My lace"
"Lovers forever
Face to faceMy city or mountains
Stay with me stay
I need you to love me
I need you today
Give to me your leather
Take from me
My lace"
